Stakeout

Stakeout guides you toward a saved point on the web UI or touch screen. Both displays work offline; measurement accuracy still depends on the fix and the target coordinates.

Targets come from the sessions in the active job and from your saved Favorites — anything you have marked can be staked. Design points from the office can be staked too: Import CSV on the Files page loads them into the job.

Web UI Stakeout page

1. Open Stakeout from the Web UI menu.
2. Choose a source in Points, then pick a Target. Check the source label and any warning about an incomplete list.
3. Walk. The plotter shows the target, your live position, and a direction arrow with the remaining distance broken into north/east components. As you close in, the view magnifies automatically for the final centimeters.

Line mode

Switch Mode from Point to Line and pick two points, Target and To. Instead of guiding you to a single spot, the readout shows your perpendicular offset from the line through the two points and your station (distance along it) — the tool for staking fence lines, curb lines, and property boundaries.

Touch screen Stakeout

No phone in hand? Tap the Home screen background to open the launcher and choose Stakeout:

• Pick Current session, Active job history, a session by date, or Reference points. Nearest <1km lists nearby points from the active job and reference points, ordered by distance.
• Choose the target on the roller.
• The needle points at the target — hold the RoboDot with the screen up and the top of the screen facing north — while the big readout counts down the distance with north/east components.
• Inside 0.25 m, the dial becomes a bullseye. Use the distance and fix quality to judge whether you have met the project’s tolerance.
• The touch screen shows up to 48 targets. Check list warnings and choose a narrower source if your target is missing.
