SW Maps (Android)

Collect field data in SW Maps using RoboDot’s position over USB serial or BLE.

SW Maps for android offers two connection methods for integrating with RoboDot, Serial or Bluetooth LE.

Setup

For a wired connection, use a compatible USB-C cable. For wireless operation, use BLE. Both methods can carry position data to the app and corrections back to RoboDot.

GNSS Master is optional; SW Maps can connect directly to RoboDot.

Serial (Recommended)

1. Select External GNSS Connection
2. In connection mode, select USB Serial
3. Set baud rate to 115200

Bluetooth LE

1. Enable RoboDot Bluetooth in Web UI settings
2. Pair RoboDot Touch with the device first via android settings
3. In SW Maps, select External GNSS Connection
4. In connection mode, select BLE
5. Select paired RoboDot device and connect using "Generic NMEA"
6. Finally configure the NTRIP Client in SW Maps

SW Maps receives VRS corrections through the Android device’s internet connection and forwards them to RoboDot. Check the reported fix quality before recording points.
