Connection Profiles

Version 5 introduces named connection profiles for the two things you retype most: WiFi networks and NTRIP/VRS services. Save each one once, then switch between them from a dropdown in the Web UI settings page — office network to phone hotspot, State CORS to a private caster — without ever re-entering credentials.

Saving a profile

1. In the Web UI settings page, open Configure under Access Point (for WiFi) or Configure under Remote VRS (for NTRIP).
2. Fill in the connection details as usual.
3. Optionally give the profile a name — left blank, WiFi profiles take the network name and VRS profiles take the mount point name.
4. Press Save Profile & Use. The profile is stored and immediately becomes the active configuration.

Up to 12 profiles of each kind can be stored.

Switching profiles

Pick any saved profile from the Profile dropdown. It becomes the active configuration on the spot — what Connect Now, Connect on Boot, and the automatic reconnect all use. The dropdown always shows which profile matches the device's current settings.

To remove a profile, select it and press the ✕ button beside the dropdown.

Pasting RoboGNSS credentials

VRS credentials handed out in the RoboGNSS format can be pasted directly into the Or paste credentials box in the VRS form — one or several blocks at once. Each block becomes a saved profile, and the first one is applied immediately. No transcription, no typos.

Keep Retrying

Next to Connect On Boot in the WiFi section there is a new Keep Retrying toggle:

• Off (default): if the WiFi network drops, the RoboDot returns to its own RoboDot_<serial> access point and stays there — walk over, connect, and the web UI is waiting.
• On: the device keeps scanning for the saved network in the background and rejoins automatically the moment it reappears, no matter how long the outage. Recommended for permanent base installations running on office networks.
